Systems and methods of testing a device for a computer network are disclosed. In some embodiments, a testing scenario is executed on one or more virtual machines (VMs) implemented by at least one computer device so that the one or more VMs generate input data as result of executing the testing scenario. A network device under test (NDUT) runs the testing scenario to generate test result data in response to the input data from the one or more VMs. Whether the NDUT passes the testing scenario is detected based on the test result data.
