WIRELESS POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18232690 titled 'WIRELESS POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a wireless power transmission system that transfers electric power from a transmitter to a receiver without the need for physical connections.
- The system uses resonance between capacitors and inductors to efficiently transfer power wirelessly.
- The primary capacitor in the primary resonant circuit is set to resonate with the self-inductance of the primary coil at the operating frequency.
- The tertiary capacitor in the tertiary resonant circuit is set to resonate with the self-inductance of the tertiary coil.
- The secondary capacitor in the secondary resonant circuit is set to reduce the reactive component of AC power caused by the self-inductances and mutual inductances of the primary, secondary, and tertiary coils.
Original Abstract Submitted
A wireless power transmission system is provided which wirelessly transfer electric power from a power transmitter to a power receiver. The wireless power transmission system works to set a capacitance of a primary capacitor of a primary resonant circuit to undergo resonance with a self-inductance of a primary coil at an angular frequency that is an operating frequency. A tertiary capacitor of a tertiary resonant circuit has a capacitance set to undergo resonance with a self-inductance of a tertiary coil. A secondary capacitor of a secondary resonant circuit has a capacitance set to reduce a reactive component of ac power arising from self-inductances and mutual inductances of the primary coil, the secondary coil, and the tertiary coil.
