a printing apparatus includes a medium storage unit that stores a medium, a printing unit including a print head that forms an image on the medium, a medium conveyance unit that conveys the medium toward the print head, an ink storage unit that stores ink, a housing internally accommodating the medium storage unit, the printing unit, the medium conveyance unit, and the ink storage unit, and an operation panel configured to instruct formation of the image on the medium. the housing includes an opening/closing portion opened/closed when the medium is stored in the medium storage unit, an opening/closing portion opened/closed when the ink is stored in the ink storage unit, and an opening/closing portion opened/closed when the print head is accessed. handhold portions at which a hand is put when the opening/closing portions are opened/closed, and the operation panel are disposed at the same surface of the housing.
