PRINTING SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240253366 titled 'PRINTING SYSTEM

The abstract describes a printing system with a first printing machine that can invert the medium, a first inversion device that can further invert the medium and transport it to a second printing machine, and a control section to manage the process in case of abnormalities.

  • The system includes a first printing machine with inversion capabilities.
  • A first inversion device is used to further invert the medium and transport it to a second printing machine.
  • A control section manages the process in case of abnormalities in the inversion sections.
  • The system allows for efficient printing on the medium by utilizing multiple machines and inversion devices.
  • The bypass transport section ensures smooth transportation of the medium between the printing machines.

Potential Applications: - Printing industry for efficient printing processes - Large-scale printing operations where medium inversion is required - Any application requiring precise control over the printing process

Problems Solved: - Efficient medium inversion for continuous printing processes - Seamless transportation of the medium between printing machines - Control over abnormalities in the inversion process

Benefits: - Increased efficiency in printing operations - Reduced downtime due to abnormalities - Improved overall printing quality and consistency

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Printing System for Enhanced Efficiency in Large-scale Operations This technology can be used in commercial printing companies, publishing houses, and packaging industries to streamline printing processes and improve overall productivity.

Original Abstract Submitted

a printing system includes a first printing machine having a first printing section configured to print on a medium and a first in-machine inversion section configured to inverse the medium; a first inversion device having a first in-device inversion section configured to inverse the medium from the first printing machine and a bypass transport section configured to transport the medium from the first printing machine toward a second printing machine without via the first in-device inversion section; the second printing machine having a second printing section configured to print on the medium from the first inversion device; and a control section, wherein when printing is performed on the medium in a state where an abnormality has occurred in the first in-device inversion section, the control section transports the medium inversed by the first in-machine inversion section toward the second printing machine via the bypass transport section.
