the present disclosure relates to a 5g communication system or a 6g communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4g communication system such as long term evolution (lte). an embodiment herein is to provide a method performed by a user equipment (ue) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving satellite coverage availability information, identifying, based on the satellite coverage availability information, a coverage for a satellite communication at a location and a time is available or not, identifying, information on at least one or more public land mobile networks (plmns) for the ue at a present location of the ue, and performing, a communication based on the information on the at least one or more plmns.
