AIR CONDITIONER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240337412 titled 'AIR CONDITIONER

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes an air conditioner design that includes a drain extraction unit and a refrigerant pipe connecting unit in a blocking region without a discharge port to ensure uniform airflow in a room. Components inside the indoor unit are placed in a protrusion portion of a circular lower housing for easier installation. A condensate water collecting space outside the housing prevents leakage, and a coupling member secures the housing, drain tray, and cover member.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Drain extraction unit and refrigerant pipe connecting unit in a blocking region without a discharge port for uniform airflow.
  • Components inside the indoor unit placed in a protrusion portion of a circular lower housing for easier installation.
  • Condensate water collecting space outside the housing in a drain tray to prevent leakage.
  • Coupling member secures the housing, drain tray, and cover member.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in various air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial use.

Problems Solved: This design addresses issues related to uneven airflow, difficult installation, and condensate water leakage in air conditioning systems.

Benefits:

  • Improved airflow distribution in a room.
  • Easier installation process.
  • Prevention of condensate water leakage.

Commercial Applications: The technology can be utilized in the HVAC industry for the development of more efficient and user-friendly air conditioning systems.

Questions about Air Conditioner Design: 1. How does the placement of components in the protrusion portion of the circular lower housing facilitate installation? 2. What are the advantages of having a condensate water collecting space outside the housing in a drain tray?

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in air conditioning system designs, energy efficiency improvements, and condensate water management techniques.

Original Abstract Submitted

in an air conditioner, a drain extraction unit and a refrigerant pipe connecting unit may be disposed in a blocking region in which a discharge port is not provided so that a size of the discharge port may be secured and the discharge port may be uniformly disposed, thereby generating uniform airflow in a room. in a lower housing formed in a circular shape, some of components inside an indoor unit of the air conditioner may be disposed in a protrusion portion that protrudes from the circular housing, thereby facilitating the installation of the air conditioner. a condensate water collecting space disposed outside the housing may be provided in a drain tray, thereby efficiently preventing a leakage due to condensate water generated outside the housing. the housing, the drain tray, and the cover member of the air conditioner may be coupled by a coupling member coupled outside.
