TECHNIQUES FOR REFERENCE SIGNAL INTERFERENCE CANCELING OR RATE MATCHING - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240137968 titled 'TECHNIQUES FOR REFERENCE SIGNAL INTERFERENCE CANCELING OR RATE MATCHING
Simplified Explanation
The present disclosure relates to wireless communication, where a user equipment (UE) receives information identifying an association between cells of different radio access technologies (RATs) and performs interference canceling or de-weighting operations based on measurements and associations.
- User equipment (UE) receives information about association between cells of different radio access technologies (RATs)
- UE performs measurements for a cell and determines if it satisfies a threshold value
- UE performs interference canceling or de-weighting operations for a reference signal based on measurements and associations

Original Abstract Submitted
various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. in some aspects, a user equipment (ue) may receive, from a base station, information that identifies an association between a first cell of a first radio access technology (rat) and a second cell of a second rat. the ue may perform a measurement for the first cell. the ue may determine that the measurement for the first cell satisfies a threshold value. the ue may perform an interference canceling operation for a reference signal of the second cell, or a de-weighting operation for one or more resource elements in which the reference signal interferes, based at least in part on the determination that the measurement for the first cell satisfies the threshold value and the association between the first cell and the second cell. numerous other aspects are described.
