METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COMMUNICATING IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240340931 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COMMUNICATING IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The abstract of the patent application describes a method and device for wireless communication in a system where a user equipment (UE) switches between connected and non-connected modes. The method involves receiving configuration information related to a common physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource for multiple multicast terminals from a base station. The UE then transmits a first PUCCH with multicast Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest-ACK (HARQ-ACK) information for a first group common physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) based on the received configuration information. Subsequently, when the UE switches from the non-connected mode to a connected mode, it transmits a second PUCCH with multicast HARQ-ACK information for a second group common PDSCH.

  • Method and device for wireless communication system
  • UE switches between connected and non-connected modes
  • Configuration information for common PUCCH resource received from base station
  • Transmission of PUCCH with multicast HARQ-ACK information for common PDSCH groups

Questions about Wireless Communication System with Seamless Mode Switching: 1. How does the method ensure efficient resource allocation for multicast terminals? 2. What are the implications of seamless mode switching for network performance and reliability?

Original Abstract Submitted

a method and a device for communicating in a wireless communication system are disclosed. a method by which a ue communicates, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, configuration information related to a common pucch resource for a plurality of multicast terminals on the basis that a ue switches to a non-connected mode; transmitting, to the base station, on the basis that a first group common pdsch is received from the base station, a first pucch including multicast harq-ack information for the first group common pdsch on the basis of the configuration information; and transmitting, to the base station, on the basis that the ue switches from the non-connected mode to a connected mode, a second pucch including multicast harq-ack information about a second group common pdsch on the basis of the configuration information, wherein the configuration information can be received from the base station through a specific broadcast channel.
