SUPERCONDUCTING MOTOR SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240204599 titled 'SUPERCONDUCTING MOTOR SYSTEM
The abstract describes a superconducting motor system with a stator and one or more rotors inside it. The rotors have multiple poles and can rotate when a current is applied. Each rotor includes a superconductor winding portion with coils wound in at least two layers, a power supply portion for supplying current, and a resistor portion connecting the superconductor winding portion in parallel to the power supply portion to enable different currents to flow through the layers.
- Superconducting motor system with stator and rotors
- Rotors have multiple poles and can rotate with applied current
- Each rotor has superconductor winding portion with coils in layers
- Power supply portion supplies current to superconductor winding
- Resistor portion connects winding in parallel to power supply
- Enables different currents to flow through superconductor layers
Potential Applications: - High-efficiency electric motors - Magnetic levitation systems - Energy storage systems
Problems Solved: - Increased energy efficiency - Reduced heat generation - Enhanced power output

Commercial Applications: Title: Superconducting Motor Systems: Revolutionizing Electric Power This technology can be used in electric vehicles, industrial machinery, and renewable energy systems, leading to increased efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
Questions about Superconducting Motor Systems: 1. How does the superconductor winding portion contribute to the efficiency of the motor system?
The superconductor winding portion allows for lower resistance and higher current-carrying capacity, leading to increased efficiency.
2. What are the potential cost savings associated with using superconducting motor systems?
Superconducting motor systems can lead to reduced energy consumption and maintenance costs, resulting in long-term cost savings.
Original Abstract Submitted
a superconducting motor system includes a stator and one or more rotors inside the stator. the rotors may form a plurality of poles, and may rotate when a current is applied thereto. the one or more rotors include: a superconductor winding portion for each pole and in which superconductor coils are wound to form at least two layers; a power supply portion configured to supply a current to the superconductor winding portion; and a resistor portion connecting the superconductor winding portion at least partly in parallel to the power supply portion. the resistor portion enables different currents to be able to flow through the at least two layers of the superconductor winding portion.
