AREA MONITORING SYSTEM AND AREA MONITORING METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240112149 titled 'AREA MONITORING SYSTEM AND AREA MONITORING METHOD
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes an area monitoring system that includes a sensor device, an analyzer, a manager, and a provider. The manager prompts the provider to offer information for promoting maintenance when there is a significant deviation between the state of a road captured in an image and a predetermined reference image of the road.
- Sensor device installed at a position to capture images of a monitoring target area
- Analyzer to analyze images captured by the sensor device
- Manager to manage the situation of the monitoring target area based on the analysis result
- Provider to offer information about the monitoring target area
- Manager prompts provider to offer maintenance information when there is a significant deviation in the state of a road captured in an image compared to a reference image
Potential Applications
This technology can be applied in various areas such as:
- Traffic monitoring and management
- Infrastructure maintenance
- Security surveillance
Problems Solved
This technology helps in:
- Identifying maintenance needs in real-time
- Improving overall monitoring and management of target areas
- Enhancing safety and security measures
Benefits
The benefits of this technology include:
- Efficient maintenance planning
- Timely response to potential issues
- Enhanced monitoring capabilities
Potential Commercial Applications
Some potential commercial applications of this technology are:
- Smart city infrastructure management systems
- Traffic control and monitoring solutions
- Security and surveillance systems
Possible Prior Art
One possible prior art for this technology could be traditional monitoring systems that do not have the capability to analyze images and provide real-time maintenance information.
Unanswered Questions
The patent application does not provide information on how privacy concerns related to monitoring target areas are addressed. This is an important aspect to consider, especially in areas where public surveillance is involved.
What are the potential limitations of this technology in terms of scalability and adaptability to different environments?
The patent application does not discuss the potential limitations of this technology in terms of scalability and adaptability to different environments. It would be crucial to understand how this system can be scaled up for larger areas and how it can adapt to various monitoring target areas with different characteristics.
Original Abstract Submitted
according to an embodiment, an area monitoring system includes a sensor device installed at a position where a monitoring target area can be imaged, an analyzer configured to analyze an image captured by the sensor device, a manager configured to manage a situation of the monitoring target area on the basis of an analysis result of the analyzer, and a provider configured to provide information about the monitoring target area. the manager causes the provider to provide information for promoting maintenance regarding at least one of the monitoring target area or the sensor device when a degree of deviation between a state of a road included in the image and a state of the road based on a predetermined reference image of the sensor device is greater than or equal to a threshold value.
