AUGMENTING IDENTIFYING METADATA RELATED TO GROUP COMMUNICATION SESSION PARTICIPANTS USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNIQUES - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240267419 titled 'AUGMENTING IDENTIFYING METADATA RELATED TO GROUP COMMUNICATION SESSION PARTICIPANTS USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNIQUES

The patent application describes methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for enhancing identifying metadata related to participants in group communication sessions using artificial intelligence techniques.

  • Processing image and video data of participants using AI techniques
  • Processing audio data of participants using AI techniques
  • Identifying participants based on the processed data
  • Augmenting identifying metadata of the participants in connection with the communication session interface
  • Performing automated actions based on the augmented metadata

Potential Applications: - Enhancing user experience in video conferencing platforms - Improving security in virtual meetings by accurately identifying participants - Streamlining communication processes in large group settings

Problems Solved: - Difficulty in accurately identifying participants in group communication sessions - Inefficient manual processes for managing participant metadata - Lack of automated actions based on participant identification

Benefits: - Enhanced user experience in group communication sessions - Increased efficiency in managing participant metadata - Improved security and privacy in virtual meetings

Commercial Applications: Title: AI-Enhanced Participant Identification System for Virtual Meetings This technology can be utilized in video conferencing platforms, virtual event hosting services, and online collaboration tools to enhance user experience, streamline communication processes, and improve security measures.

Questions about AI-Enhanced Participant Identification System for Virtual Meetings: 1. How does this technology improve user experience in virtual meetings? - This technology enhances user experience by accurately identifying participants and providing relevant metadata in real-time, leading to more efficient communication processes.

2. What are the potential security implications of using AI for participant identification in virtual meetings? - The use of AI for participant identification can improve security by ensuring only authorized individuals are present in the communication session, reducing the risk of unauthorized access or data breaches.

Original Abstract Submitted

methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for augmenting identifying metadata related to group communication session participants using artificial intelligence techniques are provided herein. an example computer-implemented method includes processing, using a first set of artificial intelligence techniques, image data associated with participants of a group communication session and/or video data associated with participants of the group communication session; processing, using a second set of artificial intelligence techniques, audio data associated with participants of the group communication session; identifying at least one of the participants of the group communication session based on the processing of the image data, the processing of the video data, and/or the processing of the audio data; augmenting, in connection with at least one interface associated with the group communication session, identifying metadata attributed to the at least one identified participant; and performing one or more automated actions based on the augmenting of the identifying metadata.
