LIQUID EJECTION HEAD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240217233 titled 'LIQUID EJECTION HEAD

The abstract describes a liquid ejection head with a printing element substrate containing two arrays of ejection orifices and a protective member with corresponding openings.

  • The liquid ejection head includes a printing element substrate with two arrays of ejection orifices.
  • A protective member is positioned adjacent to the printing element substrate with openings aligned to the ejection orifices.
  • The protective member is attached to the printing element substrate using adhesive between the two arrays of ejection orifices.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in inkjet printers, 3D printers, and other liquid ejection devices. - It can also be applied in industrial printing, textile printing, and biomedical applications.

Problems Solved: - Prevents damage to the ejection orifices from external elements. - Ensures precise and consistent liquid ejection for high-quality printing.

Benefits: - Improved durability and longevity of the liquid ejection head. - Enhanced printing quality and accuracy. - Reduced maintenance and replacement costs.

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Liquid Ejection Head Technology for Printing Devices This technology can be utilized in commercial printing services, manufacturing industries, and medical equipment production. It offers a reliable and efficient solution for liquid ejection in various applications.

Questions about Liquid Ejection Head Technology: 1. How does the protective member enhance the performance of the liquid ejection head? - The protective member safeguards the ejection orifices from damage, ensuring consistent and reliable liquid ejection. 2. What are the potential cost-saving benefits of using this advanced liquid ejection head technology? - By reducing maintenance and replacement costs, this technology offers long-term cost savings for businesses.

Original Abstract Submitted

a liquid ejection head according to the present disclosure includes: a printing element substrate including an ejection surface provided with a first ejection orifice array in which an ejection orifice configured to be capable of ejecting a liquid is arranged in plurality in an array direction and a second ejection orifice array arranged in a direction intersecting with the array direction and the first ejection orifice array; and a protective member provided with a first opening corresponding to the first ejection orifice array and a second opening corresponding to the second ejection orifice array, wherein the protective member is arranged adjacent to the ejection surface of the printing element substrate via an adhesive arranged between the first ejection orifice array and the second ejection orifice array.
