FOCUSING ADJUSTMENT METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18749380 titled 'FOCUSING ADJUSTMENT METHOD

Simplified Explanation:

The focusing adjustment method of a camera module predicts the shrinkage deviation amount between the optical system and the camera board before they are fully secured. It then adjusts the position and angle of the camera board to offset this predicted deviation amount.

  • Predicts shrinkage deviation amount before securing camera board
  • Adjusts position and angle of camera board to offset deviation
  • Ensures optical system and camera board align correctly

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Predictive adjustment of camera board position
  • Offset shrinkage deviation for proper alignment
  • Ensures focus of optical system on image sensor

Potential Applications:

This technology can be applied in various camera modules, optical systems, and imaging devices where precise alignment is crucial.

Problems Solved:

  • Prevents misalignment due to shrinkage deviation
  • Ensures accurate focus of optical system on image sensor

Benefits:

  • Improved image quality
  • Enhanced performance of camera modules
  • Increased reliability in optical systems

Commercial Applications:

Title: Predictive Focusing Adjustment Method for Camera Modules

This technology can be utilized in the manufacturing of digital cameras, smartphones, surveillance systems, and medical imaging devices to ensure precise alignment and focus.

Questions about Predictive Focusing Adjustment Method for Camera Modules:

1. How does the predictive adjustment of the camera board improve the performance of the optical system? 2. What are the potential implications of this technology in the field of medical imaging?

Original Abstract Submitted

A focusing adjustment method of a camera module predicts, before completion of securing of a camera board to an optical system, a shrinkage deviation amount by which the optical system and the camera board will approach one another. The focusing adjustment method adjusts a position and an angle of the camera board to separate, by the predicted shrinkage deviation amount, the camera board from the optical system as compared with a focusing attitude of the image sensor with respect to the optical system where the optical system is in focus on the image sensor to accordingly offset the predicted shrinkage deviation amount.
