SUPPORTING APPARATUS, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SUPPORTING APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18735851 titled 'SUPPORTING APPARATUS, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SUPPORTING APPARATUS

The supporting apparatus described in the patent application is designed to support a unit with a bend body, consisting of a drive member, a transmission member, and a driven member for bending the bend body.

  • The drive member rotates around a rotational axis.
  • The transmission member moves in the direction of the rotational axis by the rotation of the drive member.
  • The driven member bends the bend body and is moved in the direction of the rotational axis by the movement of the transmission member.
  • The drive member and the driven member are supported by two supporting members with the same shape, engaged with a coupling member.

Potential Applications: - Manufacturing industry for bending various materials. - Construction industry for shaping metal components. - Automotive industry for forming pipes and tubes.

Problems Solved: - Efficient bending of materials. - Precise control over the bending process. - Reduction in manual labor required for bending tasks.

Benefits: - Increased productivity in bending operations. - Consistent and accurate bending results. - Cost savings due to automation of bending processes.

Commercial Applications: The technology can be used in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and automotive for efficient and precise bending of materials, leading to improved production processes and cost savings.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the supporting apparatus improve the efficiency of bending operations? 2. What are the key advantages of using this technology in the manufacturing industry?

Original Abstract Submitted

A supporting apparatus configured to support a unit including a bend body includes (i) a drive member configured to rotate around a rotational axis, (ii) a transmission member configured to be moved in a direction of the rotational axis by rotation of the drive member, and (iii) a driven member for bending the bend body, the driven member being configured to be moved in the direction of the rotational axis by movement of the transmission member. The drive member and the driven member are supported by a first supporting member and a second supporting member having the same shape as the first supporting member. The first supporting member and the second supporting member are engaged with a coupling member.
