SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS TO IMPLEMENT PATIENT DATABASE TO RECRUIT FOR CLINICAL STUDIES - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18649315 titled 'SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS TO IMPLEMENT PATIENT DATABASE TO RECRUIT FOR CLINICAL STUDIES

The patient database system described in the patent application includes a patient database module and a patient database. The patient database stores longitudinal data for patients, while the patient database module acquires and stores patient data values, compares the data to clinical trial requirements, and replenishes the database with new patient data.

  • The patient database module acquires patient data values for new patients.
  • Longitudinal data for each patient is stored and updated with further patient data values.
  • The system retains patient data for an extended time period covering multiple medical processes.
  • The longitudinal data is compared to clinical trial requirements.
  • The system replenishes the patient database with data from additional patients.

Potential Applications: - Healthcare management systems - Clinical trial data management - Patient monitoring and tracking systems

Problems Solved: - Efficient storage and management of patient data - Integration of longitudinal data for analysis and comparison - Compliance with clinical trial requirements

Benefits: - Improved patient data organization - Enhanced data analysis for research purposes - Streamlined clinical trial data management

Commercial Applications: Title: "Advanced Patient Database System for Healthcare Management" This technology could be utilized in hospitals, research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and healthcare facilities for efficient patient data management, clinical trial compliance, and research analysis.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the patient database module acquire and store patient data values? 2. What are the benefits of comparing longitudinal data to clinical trial requirements?

Original Abstract Submitted

A patient database system includes a patient database module and a patient database. The patient database may store longitudinal data for patients, and the patient database module may initially acquire a patient data value for a new patient, store the patient data value as part of the longitudinal data of the new patient, acquire further patient data values for the new patient, include the further patient data values as part of the longitudinal data of the new patient, retain the longitudinal data of the new patient for a time duration that extends through a plurality of medical processes having different time periods, compare the longitudinal data to a requirement of a clinical trial, and replenish the patient database with a patient data value of an additional patient. The patient database module may also perform a longitudinal data action on the longitudinal data of the new patient.
