BOOKLET MAKING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18606031 titled 'BOOKLET MAKING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation:

The booklet making apparatus described in the patent application includes a heat-and-pressure bonding portion with a pressurizing member, a receiving member, a moving portion, and a heating portion. This apparatus is designed to nip, heat, and pressurize sheets with an adhesive layer to create booklets. Additionally, it features an elastic member that maintains a constant deformation amount as the moving portion shifts positions.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Heat-and-pressure bonding portion for creating booklets
  • Elastic member with constant deformation amount during movement
  • Ability to nip, heat, and pressurize sheets with adhesive layers

Potential Applications: The technology can be used in printing and publishing industries for efficient booklet production. It can also be applied in office settings for creating professional-looking documents.

Problems Solved: The apparatus streamlines the process of creating booklets by combining heating, pressing, and bonding functions in one machine. The elastic member ensures consistent pressure application during operation.

Benefits:

  • Increased efficiency in booklet production
  • Consistent and professional results
  • Simplified operation for users

Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Booklet Making Apparatus for Efficient Production This technology can be utilized in commercial printing companies, office supply stores, and educational institutions for creating booklets, brochures, and manuals.

Prior Art: While there is no specific prior art mentioned in the abstract, researchers can explore existing booklet making machines and heat-and-pressure bonding technologies for related information.

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers in the printing and publishing industry may conduct studies on the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of using advanced booklet making apparatus like the one described in this patent application.

Questions about Booklet Making Apparatus: 1. How does the elastic member contribute to the overall functionality of the booklet making apparatus? 2. What are the potential cost savings for businesses using this innovative technology?

Original Abstract Submitted

A booklet making apparatus includes a heat-and-pressure bonding portion including a pressurizing member, a receiving member, a moving portion configured to move the pressurizing member, and a heating portion configured to heat the pressurizing member. The booklet making apparatus is configured to nip, heat, and pressurize, between the pressurizing member and the receiving member, a plurality of sheets on at least one of which an adhesive layer is formed, and thus make a booklet. The booklet making apparatus further includes an elastic member. A deformation amount of the elastic member is constant while the moving portion moves from a first position to a second position. In a case where the moving portion moves from the second position to a third position, the deformation amount of the elastic member increases in accordance with a movement amount the moving portion.
