CONVEYANCE DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18590623 titled 'CONVEYANCE DEVICE

Simplified Explanation: The conveyance device described in the patent application includes a mechanism that reduces the gap between carriages coupled to each other as they move along a path. The device consists of main carriages and sub-carriages that are movable with respect to the main carriages, with the sub-carriages featuring steps that can be extended in areas where the path bends.

  • Main carriages and sub-carriages are alternately provided in the conveyance device.
  • Sub-carriages have steps that can be extended in areas where the conveyance path bends.
  • The mechanism reduces the gap between coupled carriages as they move along the path.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Mechanism to reduce the gap between coupled carriages.
  • Main carriages and sub-carriages for improved flexibility.
  • Steps on sub-carriages for navigating bends in the conveyance path.

Potential Applications: This technology could be used in conveyor systems for various industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and transportation.

Problems Solved:

  • Reducing gaps between carriages for smoother conveyance.
  • Enhancing flexibility and maneuverability in conveyance systems.

Benefits:

  • Improved efficiency in material handling processes.
  • Enhanced safety by reducing gaps between carriages.
  • Increased flexibility in navigating curved paths.

Commercial Applications: Potential commercial applications include conveyor systems in factories, warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation hubs.

Questions about conveyance devices: 1. How does the mechanism in the conveyance device reduce the gap between carriages? 2. What are the advantages of using main carriages and sub-carriages in a conveyance system?

Original Abstract Submitted

Achieved is a conveyance device including a mechanism which reduces a gap to be generated between each of carriages coupled to each other and a path along which the carriages pass. A conveyance device () to be conveyed along a conveyance path () includes: a plurality of main carriages (); and a plurality of sub-carriages () that are located between the main carriages and that are connected so as to be movable with respect to the main carriages. The main carriages and the sub-carriages are alternately provided. The sub-carriages each include a step () configured to be drawn therefrom in a direction perpendicular to a movement direction of a conveyance path and in an area in which the conveyance path bends.
