INK CARTRIDGE AND METHOD FOR REMANUFACTURING INK CARTRIDGE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18588786 titled 'INK CARTRIDGE AND METHOD FOR REMANUFACTURING INK CARTRIDGE
The abstract describes an ink cartridge with a casing and a seal member. The casing has an ink storage section, an air communication hole, and an air communication passage. The seal member covers the opening of the air communication hole and passage, with a recess formed in the casing covered by the seal member.
- Ink cartridge with casing and seal member
- Casing includes ink storage section, air communication hole, and air communication passage
- Seal member covers opening of air communication hole and passage
- Recess formed in casing covered by seal member
- Part of recess opening exposed from seal member
Potential Applications: - Ink cartridges for printers - Office supplies - Manufacturing of ink storage devices
Problems Solved: - Preventing air from entering ink storage section - Ensuring proper ink flow - Maintaining ink quality
Benefits: - Improved ink cartridge design - Enhanced ink storage capabilities - Reduced risk of ink contamination
Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Ink Cartridge Design for Enhanced Performance This technology can be used in the manufacturing of ink cartridges for various printers, improving ink storage and flow for better printing results. The market implications include increased efficiency in printing processes and higher quality output.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the seal member prevent air from entering the ink storage section? The seal member covers the opening of the air communication hole and passage, creating a barrier against air infiltration. 2. What advantages does the recess in the casing provide? The recess allows for a specific area to be exposed, potentially for additional functionality or design features.
Original Abstract Submitted
An ink cartridge includes a casing and a seal member. The casing includes an ink storage section storing ink, an air communication hole that is a through hole to cause the ink storage section to communicate with air, and an air communication passage that is a groove connected to the air communication hole. The seal member covers an entire area of an opening of the air communication hole and an entire area of the air communication passage. A recess different from the air communication passage is formed in an area of the casing covered with the seal member. Part of an opening of the recess is exposed from the seal member.
