SECURITY SERVICE ORCHESTRATION FUNCTION BETWEEN COMMUNICATION SERVICE PROVIDERS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18576913 titled 'SECURITY SERVICE ORCHESTRATION FUNCTION BETWEEN COMMUNICATION SERVICE PROVIDERS
The abstract describes a method implemented by a Security Service Orchestration Function (SSOF) in a communication infrastructure with multiple Communication Service Providers (CSPs) for orchestrating a Security Service Level Agreement (S-SLA).
- Receiving S-SLA requests from CSPs, each containing multiple requirements.
- Converting each S-SLA request into a consistent and unified S-SLA offerable to other CSPs.
- Offering the consistent and unified S-SLA to each CSP that submitted a request.
- Receiving responses from other CSPs, including acknowledgements or declines with non-repudiation signatures.
Potential Applications: - Enhancing security service agreements between CSPs. - Streamlining communication infrastructure operations. - Improving collaboration and trust among CSPs.
Problems Solved: - Simplifying the process of negotiating security service agreements. - Ensuring consistency and clarity in S-SLA offers. - Facilitating efficient communication and cooperation among CSPs.
Benefits: - Increased security and reliability in communication services. - Enhanced transparency and accountability in service agreements. - Cost-effective and time-saving orchestration of S-SLAs.
Commercial Applications: "Optimizing Security Service Level Agreements in Communication Infrastructure for Enhanced Collaboration and Efficiency"
Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in security service orchestration and communication infrastructure technologies to enhance S-SLA management.
Questions about Security Service Orchestration Function (SSOF): 1. How does the SSOF streamline the process of orchestrating Security Service Level Agreements? 2. What are the key benefits of using SSOF in a communication infrastructure?
Original Abstract Submitted
A method implemented by a security service orchestration function (SSOF) in a communication infrastructure, that includes a plurality of communication service providers (CSPs), for orchestration of a security service level agreement (S-SLA) includes receiving a S-SLA request, by a CSP, from one or more other CSPs. Each S-SLA request includes a plurality of requirements. The method also includes converting each S-SLA request into a consistent and unified S-SLA offerable to each other CSP. The consistent and unified S-SLA includes security attributes that the CSP is capable of providing the other CSPs. The method also includes offering the consistent and unified S-SLA to each other CSP that submitted the S-SLA request. The method further includes receiving a response from each other CSP. The response from each other CSP includes an acknowledgement or a decline of the consistent and unified S-SLA including a non-repudiation signature of acknowledgement or declining.
