APPARATUS MODULE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18561052 titled 'APPARATUS MODULE

The patent application describes an apparatus module for vehicles that includes a rigid member placed in the in-roof space between the roof panel and an interior member, along with an apparatus fixed to the rigid member. The rigid member has a heat receiving part that absorbs heat from the apparatus and a heat radiation part that releases the absorbed heat. These parts are positioned apart from each other on the surface of the rigid member, with heat transferred between them through a heat transfer path within the rigid member.

  • Rigid member placed in the in-roof space between the roof panel and an interior member in a vehicle
  • Apparatus fixed to the rigid member
  • Heat receiving part absorbs heat from the apparatus
  • Heat radiation part releases the absorbed heat
  • Parts positioned away from each other on the surface of the rigid member
  • Heat transferred between the parts through a heat transfer path within the rigid member

Potential Applications: - Automotive industry for heating systems in vehicles - Aerospace industry for temperature control in aircraft - Industrial applications for thermal management systems

Problems Solved: - Efficient heat transfer within confined spaces - Improved temperature control in vehicles - Enhanced thermal management in various applications

Commercial Applications: Title: "Innovative Thermal Management System for Vehicles" This technology can be used in automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors for improved thermal management and temperature control. It has the potential to enhance the performance and comfort of vehicles and other applications.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the heat transfer process work within the rigid member? - The heat transfer occurs through a heat transfer path connecting the heat receiving part and the heat radiation part within the rigid member. 2. What are the potential benefits of using this apparatus module in vehicles? - The benefits include improved efficiency in heating systems, better temperature control, and enhanced thermal performance in confined spaces.

Original Abstract Submitted

An apparatus module includes: a rigid member disposed in an in-roof space between a roof panel and an interior member in a vehicle to be fixed to the roof panel; and an apparatus fixed to the rigid member. The rigid member is provided with a heat receiving part having contact with the apparatus to receive heat from the apparatus and a heat radiation part radiating heat received by the heat receiving part, the heat receiving part and the heat radiation part are provided in positions away from each other in a surface of the rigid member, and heat is transferred from the heat receiving part to the heat radiation part via a heat transfer path connecting the heat receiving part and the heat radiation part in the rigid member.
