VENTILATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18557968 titled 'VENTILATION SYSTEM

The abstract describes a ventilation system that includes a supply air flow path connecting outdoors to an indoor space, an exhaust flow path connecting the indoor space to the outdoors, air supply and exhaust blowers, and a control device.

  • The ventilation system has an air supply blower that supplies air to the indoor space and an exhaust blower that exhausts air outdoors.
  • The control device manages the operation of the air supply and exhaust blowers.
  • In dehumidifying mode, the control device creates negative pressure in the indoor space by controlling the blowers.

Potential Applications: - This ventilation system can be used in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to improve indoor air quality. - It can also be utilized in hospitals, laboratories, and clean rooms where air quality control is crucial.

Problems Solved: - Helps in maintaining proper ventilation and air circulation in indoor spaces. - Assists in dehumidifying the indoor environment to prevent mold and mildew growth.

Benefits: - Enhances indoor air quality by providing fresh air from outdoors. - Helps in controlling humidity levels for a more comfortable and healthy indoor environment.

Commercial Applications: - HVAC systems for buildings and facilities. - Air quality control systems for sensitive environments like hospitals and laboratories.

Questions about the ventilation system: 1. How does the ventilation system improve indoor air quality?

  - The ventilation system supplies fresh outdoor air and exhausts stale indoor air, promoting better air circulation and quality.

2. What are the key components of the ventilation system and how do they work together?

  - The system includes supply and exhaust blowers, air flow paths, and a control device that coordinates the operation of the blowers to maintain optimal indoor air conditions.

Original Abstract Submitted

A ventilation system includes: a supply air flow path that is a flow path connecting outdoors to an indoor space; an exhaust flow path that is a flow path connecting the indoor space to the outdoors; an air supply blower that generates a flow of air to be supplied to the indoor space, the air supply blower being provided on the supply air flow path; an exhaust blower that generates a flow of air to be exhausted to the outdoors, the exhaust blower being provided on the exhaust flow path; and a control device that controls operation of the air supply blower and the exhaust blower. When a dehumidifying mode is selected which is a mode for dehumidifying the indoor space, the control device puts the indoor space under negative pressure by controlling at least one of the air supply blower and the exhaust blower.
