ASSEMBLY, DRIVE DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18557399 titled 'ASSEMBLY, DRIVE DEVICE

The abstract describes an assembly with two elements fastened together to enclose an interior space, with an electrically conductive cable passing through a cable passage between the elements. A projection on one element presses the cable against the other element to form a particle seal.

  • The assembly consists of two elements that enclose an interior space.
  • An electrically conductive cable passes through a cable passage formed between the elements.
  • At least one element has a projection that presses the cable against the other element to create a particle seal.

Potential Applications:

  • Electrical enclosures
  • Automotive wiring systems
  • Industrial machinery

Problems Solved:

  • Ensures a secure and sealed connection for the electrically conductive cable
  • Prevents particles from entering the assembly interior

Benefits:

  • Enhanced safety and reliability of electrical connections
  • Protection against environmental contaminants

Commercial Applications:

  • Manufacturing of electrical enclosures
  • Automotive industry for wiring systems
  • Industrial equipment production

Questions about the Technology: 1. How does the projection on one element create a particle seal for the cable passage? 2. What are the potential implications of this technology in the automotive industry?

Frequently Updated Research: There may be ongoing research in the field of electrical assembly technologies, particularly in improving the efficiency and reliability of cable connections. Researchers may be exploring new materials and designs to enhance the performance of such assemblies.

Original Abstract Submitted

An assembly. The assembly includes a first element and a second element, wherein the elements are fastened to one another in such a way that they together enclose an assembly interior, and wherein an electrically conductive cable protrudes into the assembly interior through a cable passage formed between the elements. For forming a particle seal assigned to the cable passage, at least one of the elements has at least one projection, which projects in the direction of the other element and presses the cable against the other element.
