IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING PLURALITY OF PHOTORECEPTORS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18540042 titled 'IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING PLURALITY OF PHOTORECEPTORS
Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes an image forming apparatus with multiple photoreceptors and corresponding exposure heads that emit light to expose the photoreceptors. A generation unit controls the timing of light emission in the rotating direction of each photoreceptor by generating line synchronization signals.
- The apparatus has multiple photoreceptors and exposure heads.
- Each exposure head includes light emitting units arranged along the rotation axis of the corresponding photoreceptor.
- A generation unit generates line synchronization signals for each exposure head to control light emission timing.
- The cycle of the line synchronization signal can be adjusted for each exposure head.
Key Features and Innovation:
- Multiple photoreceptors and exposure heads for efficient image formation.
- Light emitting units arranged strategically for precise exposure.
- Generation unit ensures synchronized light emission for accurate results.
- Adjustable cycle of line synchronization signal for flexibility in operation.
Potential Applications: This technology can be used in various printing and copying machines to produce high-quality images and documents efficiently.
Problems Solved:
- Ensures precise and synchronized exposure of photoreceptors.
- Allows for flexibility in adjusting the cycle of line synchronization signals.
- Improves the overall image forming process in printing and copying machines.
Benefits:
- Enhanced image quality and accuracy.
- Improved efficiency in image forming processes.
- Flexibility in operation for different requirements.
Commercial Applications: This technology can be applied in commercial printing services, office copiers, and other image forming equipment to enhance productivity and image quality.
Questions about Image Forming Apparatus: 1. How does the generation unit control the timing of light emission in the rotating direction of each photoreceptor? 2. What are the potential cost-saving benefits of using this image forming apparatus technology in commercial printing services?
Original Abstract Submitted
An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of photoreceptors; a plurality of exposure heads provided so as to correspond to the plurality of photoreceptors, respectively, each of the plurality of exposure heads including a plurality of light emitting units configured to emit light for exposing the corresponding photoreceptor, the plurality of light emitting units being arranged along a rotation axis line of the corresponding photoreceptor; and a generation unit configured to generate a line synchronization signal for each of the plurality of exposure heads to control a light emission timing in a rotating direction of the corresponding photoreceptor, the generation unit being configured to adjust a cycle of the line synchronization signal in accordance with each of the plurality of exposure heads.
