APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REGENERATING A LEAD-ZIRCONATE-TITANATE THIN FILM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18510012 titled 'APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REGENERATING A LEAD-ZIRCONATE-TITANATE THIN FILM
Simplified Explanation
The invention described in the abstract is a method and apparatus for regenerating a lead-zirconate-titanate thin film using a heater and an electrical field. Here are some bullet points to explain the patent/innovation:
- The apparatus includes a heater that treats the lead-zirconate-titanate thin film at a temperature below 350°C.
- The heater is different from the lead-zirconate-titanate thin film.
- The apparatus also includes a device for generating an electrical field with a specified electrical field strength to treat the thin film.
Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in the field of thin film electronics for regenerating lead-zirconate-titanate thin films in various devices such as sensors, actuators, and transducers.
Problems Solved: - This technology solves the problem of degradation or damage to lead-zirconate-titanate thin films, allowing for their regeneration and extended use in electronic applications.
Benefits: - Extends the lifespan of lead-zirconate-titanate thin films. - Provides a cost-effective method for regenerating thin films without the need for replacement.
Potential Commercial Applications: - "Regenerating Lead-Zirconate-Titanate Thin Films for Thin Film Electronics Applications"
Possible Prior Art: - Prior art may include methods for regenerating thin films using heat treatment or electrical fields separately, but not in combination as described in this patent application.
Unanswered Questions: 1. What specific devices or industries could benefit the most from this technology? 2. Are there any limitations or drawbacks to using an electrical field for regenerating lead-zirconate-titanate thin films that need to be addressed?
Original Abstract Submitted
A method and apparatus for regenerating a lead-zirconate-titanate thin film. The apparatus includes a heater configured to treat the lead-zirconate-titanate thin film at a specified temperature below 350º Celsius by means of a heater different from the lead-zirconate-titanate thin film, wherein the apparatus includes a device for generating an electrical field, wherein the device is configured to generate an electrical field having a specified electrical field strength, and to treat the lead-zirconate-titanate thin film by means of the electrical field.
