LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18508787 titled 'LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY DEVICE
The abstract of the patent application describes a light emitting display device with unit pixels containing three light emitting regions arranged diagonally.
- The unit pixels consist of a first, second, and third light emitting region along a diagonal direction.
- The first and second light emitting regions overlap in one direction, as do the second and third regions.
- The arrangement of the light emitting regions creates a unique display pattern.
Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in high-resolution displays for televisions and monitors. - It may also find applications in signage and advertising displays.
Problems Solved: - Provides a more efficient and visually appealing way to display images. - Offers a new design for light emitting display devices.
Benefits: - Enhanced display quality and resolution. - Improved visual experience for users.
Commercial Applications: - This technology could revolutionize the display industry by offering a new way to create high-quality images on screens.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the arrangement of the light emitting regions impact the overall display quality? 2. What potential challenges could arise in implementing this technology in commercial products?
Original Abstract Submitted
A light emitting display device includes: a plurality of unit pixels, each including a first light emitting region, a second light emitting region, and a third light emitting region. In a unit pixel from among the plurality of unit pixels: the first light emitting region, the second light emitting region, and the third light emitting region are sequentially located along a first diagonal direction having an angle with respect to first and second directions; the first light emitting region and the second light emitting region overlap with each other in the first direction or the second direction; and the second light emitting region and the third light emitting region overlap with each other in the first direction or the second direction.
