Unanswered Questions
How does the device determine the size and boundaries of the virtual area for extracting spots?
The abstract does not provide specific details on how the control unit determines the virtual area based on the current location information. Further information on the algorithms or methods used for this process would be helpful.
What types of notifications can be generated by the device based on the extracted spot information?
The abstract mentions generating notifications related to the extracted spot based on various factors, but it does not specify the types of notifications that can be generated. Understanding the range of notifications possible would provide a clearer picture of the device's capabilities.
Original Abstract Submitted
The information processing device includes a storage unit, a communication unit, a time information provision unit, and a control unit. The storage unit stores spot information including location information and time frame information. The communication unit can communicate with information equipment carried by a user and an in-vehicle device mounted on a vehicle on which the user is located, and can acquire current location information of either or both of the information equipment and the vehicle. The time information provision unit provides current time information. The control unit determines a virtual area based on the current location information, extracts a spot located in the virtual area based on the spot information, and determines whether to generate a notification related to the extracted spot based on the location information of the extracted spot, the time frame information associated with the extracted spot, the current location information, and the current time information.
