A button cell includes an electrode assembly including a first electrode, a second electrode, a separator between the first electrode and the second electrode, a first electrode tab extending from the first electrode, and a second electrode tab extending from the second electrode, a case accommodating the electrode assembly, and including a through hole exposing an upper central region of the electrode assembly and an opening exposing a lower portion of the electrode assembly, a bottom plate coupled to the case to cover the opening, and connected to the first electrode tab, a terminal plate insulated from and bonded to the case to cover the through hole, and connected to the second electrode tab, and a bonding layer between the case and the terminal plate, and configured to insulate and bond the case and the terminal plate.
