CYCLIC ASPIRATION SYSTEM PRODUCING A CYCLIC ASPIRATION PRESSURE WAVEFORM USING A VACUUM PUMP AND POSITIVE PRESSURE PULSE GENERATOR MECHANISM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18441616 titled 'CYCLIC ASPIRATION SYSTEM PRODUCING A CYCLIC ASPIRATION PRESSURE WAVEFORM USING A VACUUM PUMP AND POSITIVE PRESSURE PULSE GENERATOR MECHANISM

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a cyclic aspiration system that generates a cyclic pressurized waveform with alternating intervals of vacuum pressure below atmospheric pressure and positive pressure higher than the vacuum pressure.

  • The system includes a vacuum pump, a conduit connected to the vacuum pump, and an aspiration catheter connected to the conduit.
  • A positive pressure pulse generator mechanism controls the passage of vacuum pressure through the conduit and produces intermittent positive pressure pulses.
  • The system aims to create a cyclic pattern of pressure for medical or industrial applications.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Generation of cyclic pressurized waveform with alternating vacuum and positive pressure.

Original Abstract Submitted

Cyclic aspiration system producing an associated cyclic pressurized waveform of intermittent cyclic intervals of vacuum pressure below atmospheric pressure and a positive pressure higher than the vacuum pressure. The system including a vacuum pump generating vacuum pressure, a conduit connected in fluid communication to the vacuum pump, and an aspiration catheter connected in fluid communication to the conduit. Associated with the conduit is a positive pressure pulse generator mechanism that controls via a vacuum pressure gating device passage therethrough the conduit of the vacuum pressure generated by the vacuum pump and intermittently cyclically produces a positive pressure pulse.
