A display panel is disclosed that includes a substrate including a display area and a peripheral area around the display area, a display element located in the display area, a thin-film encapsulation layer covering the display area, and including a first inorganic encapsulation layer, an organic encapsulation layer, and a second inorganic encapsulation layer, and a plurality of grooves located in the peripheral area to be adjacent to an end of the substrate, wherein the end of the substrate is recessed away from the display element, and a side surface of the end of the substrate is one plane.
