COMMUNICATION METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18431684 titled 'COMMUNICATION METHOD
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a communication method used in a mobile communication system supporting a multicast broadcast service (MBS). The method involves transmitting an RRC message from a user equipment to a base station, indicating a desired mode for MBS delivery or reception.
- User equipment in a mobile communication system transmits an RRC message to a base station.
- The RRC message includes an information element indicating the desired mode for MBS delivery or reception.
- The communication method is used in a system supporting multicast broadcast services.
Potential Applications
This technology could be applied in mobile communication systems to efficiently manage multicast broadcast services.
Problems Solved
This technology solves the problem of effectively communicating the desired mode for MBS delivery or reception in a mobile communication system.
Benefits
The benefits of this technology include improved management of multicast broadcast services and enhanced communication efficiency in mobile networks.
Potential Commercial Applications
Potential commercial applications of this technology include mobile network operators looking to optimize multicast broadcast services for their users.
Possible Prior Art
One possible prior art could be existing methods for managing multicast broadcast services in mobile communication systems.
Unanswered Questions

Original Abstract Submitted
A communication method according to a first aspect is a communication method used in a mobile communication system supporting a multicast broadcast service (MBS) and includes transmitting, at a user equipment performing MBS reception or being interested in the MBS reception in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, an RRC message to a base station. The transmitting includes transmitting the RRC message including an information element indicating a mode desired by the user equipment as an MBS delivery mode or an MBS reception mode from the base station.
