ANTENNA, ANTENNA MODULE, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18292128 titled 'ANTENNA, ANTENNA MODULE, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

The abstract describes an antenna design consisting of a reference potential layer, a feed element, a parasitic element, and connecting conductors. The reference potential layer extends in two directions, while the feed element and parasitic element are composed of layered conductors facing each other.

  • The antenna design includes a reference potential layer, a feed element, a parasitic element, and connecting conductors.
  • The reference potential layer extends in two directions, providing stability to the antenna structure.
  • The feed element has a first feed point towards one side relative to the center of the feed element.
  • The parasitic element faces the feed element from the opposite side of the reference potential layer.
  • Connecting conductors are positioned closer to the center of the feed element than the first feed point.

Potential Applications: - Telecommunications - Radar systems - Wireless communication devices

Problems Solved: - Improved antenna performance - Enhanced signal reception - Increased antenna stability

Benefits: - Better signal quality - Enhanced communication range - Reduced interference

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Antenna Technology for Improved Communication Systems This antenna design can be utilized in various commercial applications such as telecommunications infrastructure, satellite communication systems, and IoT devices. The improved performance and stability of the antenna can lead to better connectivity and data transmission capabilities in these industries.

Questions about Antenna Technology: 1. How does the positioning of the connecting conductors affect the performance of the antenna? The connecting conductors play a crucial role in ensuring proper signal transmission and reception in the antenna design. By strategically placing them closer to the center of the feed element, the overall performance and stability of the antenna are enhanced.

2. What are the key advantages of using a reference potential layer in antenna design? The reference potential layer provides a stable base for the antenna structure, reducing signal interference and improving overall signal quality. Additionally, it helps in maintaining the integrity of the antenna design in various environmental conditions.

Original Abstract Submitted

An antenna includes a reference potential layer, a feed element, a parasitic element, and at least one connecting conductor. The reference potential layer extends in a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The feed element is composed of a layered conductor facing the reference potential layer. Further, the feed element has a first feed point at a position toward one side in the first direction relative to a center of the feed element in the first direction. The parasitic element is composed of a layered conductor facing the feed element from a side opposite the reference potential layer. The connecting conductor is connected to the feed element and the parasitic element at a position closer to the center of the feed element than the first feed point in first direction, and is not electrically connected to the reference potential layer.
