The switching portion includes a first transparent electrode, a liquid crystal layer positioned on the first transparent electrode, and a second transparent electrode positioned on the liquid crystal layer. The display device is capable of achieving excellent light efficiency in a mirror mode while being capable of switching between a transparent mode and the mirror mode.
