FILTER APPARATUS AND CLOTHES TREATING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18207902 titled 'FILTER APPARATUS AND CLOTHES TREATING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a filter apparatus for a washing machine drain, with features such as a filter case, detachable filter, filtering flow path, bypass flow path, sensor, opening and closing device, and controller.
- Filter apparatus for washing machine drain
- Filter case allows water flow through when connected to drain device
- Detachable filter mounts inside filter case for water filtration
- Filtering flow path directs water through filter
- Bypass flow path allows water to bypass filter
- Sensor gathers information about the filter
- Opening and closing device controls water flow to filter or bypass path
- Controller regulates opening and closing device based on sensor information
Potential applications of this technology: - Improving the efficiency of washing machines by preventing clogs in the drain system - Extending the lifespan of washing machines by reducing wear and tear on internal components
Problems solved by this technology: - Clogging of washing machine drains due to debris and lint from laundry - Damage to washing machine components caused by blocked drains
Benefits of this technology: - Enhanced performance and longevity of washing machines - Reduced maintenance and repair costs for washing machine owners - Improved water drainage efficiency during laundry cycles
Original Abstract Submitted
A filter apparatus positionable outside a washing machine and connectable to a drain device of the washing machine, the filter apparatus including a filter case configured so that, with the filter apparatus connected to the drain device, water from the drain device is flowable through the filter case; a filter detachably mountable inside the filter case; a filtering flow path inside the filter case so that water passes through the filter while the filter is mounted inside the filter case; a bypass flow path inside the filter case so that water bypasses the filter; at least one sensor to obtain information about the filter; an opening and closing device to open and close the bypass flow path to guide water flowing into the filter case to the filtering flow path or the bypass flow path; and a controller to control the opening and closing device based on the obtained information.
