An apparatus for a wireless communication device, the apparatus may include an interface to a radio frequency (RF) transceiver, and processing circuitry configured to: monitor one or more transmit power limitation parameters used to limit transmit power of transmissions of RF communication signals, and cause, based on a first transmit power limit including a monitored transmit power limitation parameter and a second transmit power limit, the RF transceiver to perform a body proximity sensing operation.
