HARQ-ACK TRANSMISSION METHOD, USER EQUIPMENT AND STORAGE MEDIUM, AND HARQ-ACK RECEPTION METHOD AND BASE STATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17909280 titled 'HARQ-ACK TRANSMISSION METHOD, USER EQUIPMENT AND STORAGE MEDIUM, AND HARQ-ACK RECEPTION METHOD AND BASE STATION
Simplified Explanation
The abstract of the patent application describes a method performed by a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The UE receives a configuration for the uplink-downlink (UL-DL) timing and a configuration for Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS). It then performs SPS Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) reception based on the SPS configuration and transmits a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request Acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) for the SPS PDSCH reception.
- The UE may transmit the HARQ-ACK on a second Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource if the first PUCCH resource does not meet certain conditions.
- The conditions for selecting the second PUCCH resource may include:
* The symbols of the corresponding PUCCH resource should not include symbols indicated in the downlink by the UL-DL configuration. * The time between the last symbol of the SPS PDSCH reception and the start symbol of the corresponding PUCCH resource should be greater than or equal to a predetermined minimum time.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Wireless communication systems
- Mobile networks
- 5G and beyond networks
Problems solved by this technology:
- Efficient transmission of HARQ-ACK for SPS PDSCH reception
- Handling scenarios where the first PUCCH resource is not suitable for transmitting the HARQ-ACK
Benefits of this technology:
- Improved reliability and efficiency of SPS PDSCH reception
- Enhanced performance in wireless communication systems
- Better utilization of PUCCH resources in mobile networks.
Original Abstract Submitted
UE performs operations including: receiving a TDD UL-DL configuration and an SPS configuration; performing SPS PDSCH reception on the basis of the SPS configuration; and transmitting an HARQ-ACK for the SPS PDSCH reception. The transmitting of the HARQ-ACK for the SPS PDSCH reception may include transmitting the HARQ-ACK for the SPS PDSCH reception on a second PUCCH resource that satisfies conditions, on the basis that a first PUCCH resource for the HARQ-ACK for the SPS PDSCH reception does not satisfy the conditions. The conditions may include that: i) symbols of a corresponding PUCCH resource do not include symbols indicated in downlink by the TDD UL-DL configuration; and ii) a time from a last symbol of the SPS PDSCH reception to a start symbol of the corresponding PUCCH resource is greater than or equal to a predetermined minimum time.
