TRANSPORT BLOCK SIZE FOR SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17885293 titled 'TRANSPORT BLOCK SIZE FOR SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS
Simplified Explanation
- User equipment (UE) can obtain a nominal resource block value for allocated subchannels for sidelink communication. - The UE identifies physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) resource elements for transport block size calculation based on the nominal resource block value. - The UE transmits the sidelink communication and reserves resources for retransmissions based on the number of PSSCH resource elements.
Potential Applications
- Enhanced communication reliability in wireless networks - Improved resource allocation for sidelink communications
Problems Solved
- Efficient resource management for sidelink communications - Enhanced transmission performance in wireless networks
Benefits
- Increased reliability of communication - Optimal resource allocation for improved performance - Enhanced user experience in wireless networks
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain a nominal resource block value associated with one or more allocated subchannels for a sidelink communication. The UE may identify a number of physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) resource elements to be used for a transport block size calculation based at least in part on the nominal resource block value. The UE may transmit the sidelink communication, and reserve one or more resources for one or more respective retransmissions of the sidelink communication, based at least in part on the number of PSSCH resource elements. Numerous other aspects are described.
