CONNECTOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17772973 titled 'CONNECTOR

The patent application aims to provide a connector with a novel structure that can prevent the transmission of wire swing to a terminal.

  • The connector includes a housing for a terminal, a back retainer at the rear end of the housing for a wire connected to the terminal, a wire insertion hole in the back retainer, and a wire holding piece for securing the wire in the pull-out direction.
  • The wire pulled out from the insertion hole is tied and fixed to the wire holding piece using a tying tool.
  • This design helps in suppressing or preventing the swing of the wire, ensuring stable connectivity in the connector.

Potential Applications:

  • This technology can be used in various electrical and electronic devices where stable wire connections are crucial.
  • It can be applied in automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment where reliable connectors are required.

Problems Solved:

  • The connector addresses the issue of wire swing, which can lead to unstable connections and signal interference.
  • By securing the wire in place, it ensures consistent and reliable transmission of signals.

Benefits:

  • Improved reliability and stability of wire connections.
  • Prevention of signal interference due to wire swing.
  • Enhanced durability of connectors in various applications.

Commercial Applications:

  • This technology can be utilized in the manufacturing of electronic devices, automotive components, and industrial machinery.
  • It has the potential to improve the performance and longevity of connectors in a wide range of industries.

Questions about the Technology: 1. How does the wire holding piece prevent the transmission of wire swing in the connector? 2. What are the key advantages of using this novel connector structure in electronic devices and industrial equipment?

Original Abstract Submitted

It is aimed to provide a connector of a novel structure capable of suppressing or preventing the transmission of the swing of a wire to a terminal in a connector. A connector is provided with a housing for accommodating a terminal , a back retainer mounted in a rear end part of the housing from which a wire connected to the terminal is pulled out, a wire insertion hole provided in the back retainer , and a wire holding piece projecting in a pull-out direction of the wire from a peripheral edge part of the wire insertion hole . The wire pulled out from the wire insertion hole is tied and fixed to the wire holding piece by a tying tool
