VACUUM CLEANER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18278636 titled 'VACUUM CLEANER

The abstract describes a vacuum cleaner with a filtration chamber that includes a tapered filter between the inner and outer walls.

  • The vacuum cleaner has an air inlet to bring in air with dust particles, which then pass through the tapered filter.
  • The tapered filter has a narrow end near the air inlet and/or dirt chute, allowing for efficient filtration of dust and dirt.
  • The dirt chute is used to discharge dirt and/or dust from the vacuum cleaner, preventing clogging and maintaining suction power.
  • The design of the tapered filter helps improve the overall performance and effectiveness of the vacuum cleaner.
  • This innovation aims to enhance the filtration process and optimize the cleaning capabilities of the vacuum cleaner.

Potential Applications: - Household vacuum cleaners - Industrial vacuum systems - Commercial cleaning equipment

Problems Solved: - Improved filtration efficiency - Prevention of clogging - Enhanced suction power

Benefits: - Better cleaning performance - Longer lifespan of the vacuum cleaner - Reduced maintenance needs

Commercial Applications: - Manufacturers of vacuum cleaners - Cleaning service providers - Facilities management companies

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the tapered filter improve the filtration process in the vacuum cleaner? 2. What are the potential cost savings associated with using this innovative filtration system?

Frequently Updated Research: - Ongoing studies on the impact of tapered filters on vacuum cleaner performance - Research on advancements in filtration technology for household appliances.

Original Abstract Submitted

A vacuum cleaner includes a filtration chamber with an inner wall and an outer wall, an air inlet arranged to feed air carrying dust particles into the space between the inner wall and outer wall of the filtration chamber and a dirt chute for discharging dirt and/or dust from the vacuum cleaner. A tapered filter is located between the inner wall and the outer wall of the filtration chamber. The tapered filter includes a narrow end and a wide end, and the narrow end of the filter is located at or proximate to the air inlet and/or the dirt chute.
