SOLENOID, SOLENOID VALVE, AND SUSPENSION DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18610986 titled 'SOLENOID, SOLENOID VALVE, AND SUSPENSION DEVICE

The abstract describes a patent application for a solenoid with a unique design to improve sealing between components.

  • Solenoid unit includes a coil and an inner protruding portion covered by molded resin.
  • Housing accommodates the inner protruding portion.
  • Sealing element seals the gap between the solenoid unit and the housing.
  • Solenoid unit and housing both have inclined surfaces to facilitate sealing.
  • Sealing element contacts the inclined surfaces to ensure a tight seal.

Potential Applications: - Automotive industry for various electronic systems. - Industrial machinery for automation and control systems. - Consumer electronics for precise actuation mechanisms.

Problems Solved: - Prevents ingress of dust and moisture into the solenoid unit. - Ensures reliable operation in harsh environments. - Enhances the lifespan of the solenoid by protecting internal components.

Benefits: - Improved durability and reliability of solenoid systems. - Reduced maintenance and repair costs. - Enhanced performance in challenging conditions.

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Sealed Solenoid Technology for Enhanced Reliability This technology can be utilized in automotive components, industrial equipment, and consumer electronics to improve the longevity and performance of solenoid systems. The market implications include increased demand for high-quality solenoids in various industries.

Questions about Solenoid Sealing Technology: 1. How does the design of this solenoid improve sealing compared to traditional solenoids? The unique design of this solenoid with inclined surfaces and a sealing element ensures a tight seal, preventing dust and moisture ingress. 2. What are the key benefits of using this advanced sealing technology in solenoids? The benefits include improved durability, reliability, and performance, leading to reduced maintenance costs and enhanced longevity of solenoid systems.

Original Abstract Submitted

A solenoid includes: a solenoid unit including a coil and an inner protruding portion covering a periphery of the coil by molded resin; a housing into which the inner protruding portion is inserted; and a sealing element configured to seal a gap between the solenoid unit and the housing. The solenoid unit includes an inclined surface extending in a direction that intersects a direction of insertion of the inner protruding portion into the housing. The housing includes an inclined surface extending in a direction that intersects the direction of insertion. The sealing element is configured to seal the gap by coming into contact with the inclined surface of the solenoid unit and the inclined surface of the housing.
