DISPLAY SUBSTRATE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, AND DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17768841 titled 'DISPLAY SUBSTRATE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, AND DISPLAY DEVICE

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a display substrate with a base substrate containing a display region, sub-pixels, and a conductive protective structure. Each sub-pixel includes a light-emitting element and a driving circuit. The conductive protective structure, located on the side of the driving circuit away from the base substrate, reduces carrier transmission between adjacent sub-pixels.

  • The display substrate has a base substrate with a display region, sub-pixels, and a conductive protective structure.
  • Each sub-pixel consists of a light-emitting element and a driving circuit.
  • The conductive protective structure is positioned to reduce carrier transmission between adjacent sub-pixels.

Potential Applications: 1. Display panels for electronic devices. 2. OLED screens for smartphones, TVs, and monitors. 3. High-resolution displays for virtual reality and augmented reality applications.

Problems Solved: 1. Minimizing interference between adjacent sub-pixels. 2. Enhancing the overall performance and longevity of display screens. 3. Improving the quality of images and videos displayed on screens.

Benefits: 1. Increased display clarity and brightness. 2. Reduced power consumption. 3. Extended lifespan of display panels.

Commercial Applications: The technology can be utilized in the manufacturing of consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, TVs, and computer monitors. It can also be integrated into automotive displays, medical devices, and wearable technology.

Questions about Display Substrate: 1. How does the conductive protective structure reduce interference between sub-pixels? 2. What are the potential implications of this technology on the display industry?

Original Abstract Submitted

A display substrate, including: a base substrate. The base substrate includes a display region, and the display region is provided with a plurality of sub-pixels and a conductive protective structure. At least one sub-pixel among the plurality of sub-pixels includes: a light-emitting element and a driving circuit that drives the light-emitting element to emit light. The light-emitting elements and the conductive protective structure are located on the side of the driving circuit away from the base substrate. The conductive protective structure includes at least one conductive part, and the at least one conductive part is located at an interval between respective light-emitting parts of light-emitting elements of at least two adjacent sub-pixels. The conductive protective structure is electrically connected to a signal terminal, and is configured to reduce carrier transmission between adjacent sub-pixels.
