DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18537829 titled 'DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a method where appended information from a first document is accumulated and then added to a revised version of the document after comparing and associating the blocks of the two documents.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Accumulation of information for each block of the first document before revision
  • Division of the second document into blocks for comparison
  • Removal of appended information from the blocks of the first document
  • Association of blocks from the first and second documents on a one-to-one basis
  • Addition of the appended information to the blocks of the second document

Potential Applications: This technology could be used in document revision processes, content management systems, and version control systems.

Problems Solved: This technology streamlines the process of revising documents by efficiently transferring appended information from the original document to the revised version.

Benefits:

  • Saves time in the document revision process
  • Ensures that important information is not lost during revisions
  • Improves the accuracy and completeness of revised documents

Commercial Applications: The technology could be valuable for companies that frequently revise and update documents, such as legal firms, publishing houses, and research institutions.

Questions about the Technology: 1. How does this technology compare to traditional methods of document revision? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this technology in large-scale document management systems?

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers are continuously exploring ways to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of document revision processes using similar methodologies.

Original Abstract Submitted

Appended information is accumulated for each block of a first document before revision. A second document, which is a revised version of the first document, is divided into blocks. Each of the blocks of the first document, from which the appended information is removed, is compared with the blocks of the second document. The blocks of the first document are associated with the blocks of the second document on a one-to-one basis. The appended information related to the blocks of the first document is added to the blocks of the second document.
