DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240206262 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE

The patent application describes a display device with a unique layout of components on the substrate, including a sensor hole area and a sensor non-display area.

  • The display device includes a substrate, a display area with pixels, a sensor hole area, and a sensor non-display area.
  • A first conductive layer on the substrate contains scan wiring connected to the pixels and extending in a first direction.
  • A second conductive layer on top of the first layer houses high voltage power wiring connected to the pixels.
  • Some of the high voltage power wiring is located in the second conductive layer, including a hole-surrounding high voltage power wiring around the sensor non-display area.

Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in various types of display devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and monitors. - It could also be applied in automotive displays, medical devices, and industrial equipment.

Problems Solved: - The layout of components on the substrate optimizes the functionality and efficiency of the display device. - The design helps to prevent interference between different wiring components, improving overall performance.

Benefits: - Enhanced display quality and performance due to the optimized layout of components. - Increased durability and reliability of the display device. - Improved efficiency in power distribution and signal processing.

Commercial Applications: - The technology could be valuable for display manufacturers looking to enhance the performance of their products. - It could also be attractive to companies developing innovative display solutions for various industries.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the unique layout of components on the substrate contribute to the overall performance of the display device? 2. What are the specific advantages of having the high voltage power wiring located in the second conductive layer?

Original Abstract Submitted

a display device may include a substrate, a display area having a plurality of pixels, a sensor hole area, a sensor non-display area disposed between the display area and the sensor hole area, a first conductive layer disposed on the substrate and including a scan wiring connected to the plurality of pixels and extending along a first direction, a second conductive layer disposed on the first conductive layer, and a high voltage power wiring connected to the plurality of pixels. at least a portion of the high voltage power wiring may be disposed in the second conductive layer, and the high voltage power wiring may include a hole-surrounding high voltage power wiring surrounding the sensor non-display area on a plane.
