DISPLAY SUBSTRATE AND DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17759996 titled 'DISPLAY SUBSTRATE AND DISPLAY DEVICE

The present disclosure introduces a display substrate and a display device. The display substrate consists of a base substrate, multiple data lines running in one direction, multiple gate lines running in another direction, and several sub-pixels. Each sub-pixel includes two aperture regions separated in the first direction, with the second aperture region offset in the second direction compared to the first aperture region, with the offset distance being less than or equal to the width of the first aperture region in the second direction.

  • The display substrate features sub-pixels with offset aperture regions for improved display performance.
  • Each sub-pixel includes two aperture regions that are spaced apart and offset from each other, enhancing image quality.
  • The offset distance between the aperture regions is carefully controlled to optimize display clarity and resolution.
  • This innovation allows for more precise control over the display output, resulting in a better viewing experience for users.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in various display devices such as smartphones, tablets, televisions, and monitors to enhance image quality and resolution.

Problems Solved: This technology addresses the challenge of improving display performance and image quality in electronic devices.

Benefits: - Enhanced display performance - Improved image quality - Better viewing experience for users

Commercial Applications: This technology can be utilized in the consumer electronics industry for manufacturing high-quality display devices with superior image clarity and resolution.

Prior Art: No specific prior art information is provided in the abstract.

Frequently Updated Research: There is no information on frequently updated research related to this technology at the moment.

Questions about Display Substrate Technology:

Question 1: How does the offset aperture regions in sub-pixels improve display performance? Answer: The offset aperture regions in sub-pixels help enhance image quality and resolution by allowing for more precise control over the display output.

Original Abstract Submitted

The present disclosure provides a display substrate and a display device. The display substrate includes a base substrate, a plurality of data lines arranged on the base substrate and extending in a first direction, a plurality of gate lines arranged on the base substrate and extending in a second direction, and a plurality of sub-pixels. Each sub-pixel at least includes a first aperture region and a second aperture region spaced apart from each other in the first direction, the second aperture region is offset in the second direction with respect to the first aperture region, and an offset distance is less than or equal to a width of the first aperture region in the second direction.
