SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CAPTURING CARBON DIOXIDE FROM AN AIR STREAM

Abstract: described herein is a system for capturing carbon dioxide (co) from an air stream. the system comprises a cocapturing media configured to allow the air stream to flow therethrough and correspondingly capture cogas present in the air stream, and a liquefication unit configured to receive the captured cogas from the cocapturing media and correspondingly compress and/or liquefy the received cogas into liquid co, wherein heat generated during the compression and/or liquefication of the cois supplied to the cocapturing media to regenerate the cocapturing media.
