ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING MEDIA CONTENT AND USER INTERFACE IN PLURALITY OF AREAS AND METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18240226 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING MEDIA CONTENT AND USER INTERFACE IN PLURALITY OF AREAS AND METHOD THEREOF

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an electronic device that obtains information for a plane on which light emitted from a projector is to be projected. The device identifies different areas on the plane, displays media content in one area, and user interface in another area based on the width and height of the second area.

  • Processor identifies areas on a plane for projection
  • Displays media content and user interface in different areas
  • Controls projector to display user interface based on second area dimensions

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of projectors in interactive displays or virtual environments.

Unanswered Questions

How does the device differentiate between different areas on the plane?

The abstract does not provide details on the specific method used by the processor to identify and differentiate between different areas on the plane.

What types of user interfaces can be displayed in the second area?

The abstract does not specify the range of user interfaces that can be displayed in the second area based on the width and height of the area.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic device is provided for obtaining information for a plane on which light emitted from a projector is to be projected. The electronic device includes a processor, which identifies, from the plane based on the information, a first area having a first ratio, and a second area smaller than the first area. Moreover, the processor obtains, in a state that a media content displays in the first area identified by a communication circuitry, user interface (UI) associated with the media content. The processor controls the projector to display, in the second area, the UI having layout based on a width and a height of the second area. The electronic device may be provided in a metaverse or in a metaverse service for enhancing interconnectivity between real and virtual objects.
