Bandwidth Part Management in a Wireless System

Abstract: a base station switches to a first downlink bandwidth part (bwp) of a wireless device as an active bwp of the wireless device during a discontinuous reception (drx) active time of the wireless device. in response to switching to the first downlink bwp, the base station starts a bwp inactivity timer of the first downlink bwp. the base station receives a packet via a transmission interval of periodic resources indicated by a configured grant. the base station restarts the bwp inactivity timer at a time based on the transmission interval. in response to an expiration of the bwp inactivity timer, the base station switches to a second downlink bwp of the wireless device as the active bwp during the drx active time. the base station transmits downlink control information (dci) via a physical downlink control channel (pdcch) of the second downlink bwp.
