INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18387135 titled 'INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes an information processing apparatus that estimates the time needed for image processing and distributes information accordingly to ensure completion within a set number of processing periods.
- First image processing unit generates first information
- Second image processing unit generates second information
- First estimation unit determines if second image processing can be completed in current processing period
- Distribution unit distributes first information to second image processing unit and third image processing unit if second processing cannot be completed in current period
Potential Applications
This technology could be applied in various industries such as image processing, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.
Problems Solved
This innovation helps in optimizing image processing tasks by estimating processing time and distributing information accordingly to ensure completion within a specified timeframe.
Benefits
- Efficient utilization of processing resources - Improved workflow management - Enhanced productivity in image processing tasks
Potential Commercial Applications
Optimizing image processing workflows for industries such as healthcare, surveillance, and manufacturing.
Possible Prior Art
Prior art in the field of image processing and workflow optimization technologies may exist, but specific examples are not provided in this context.
Unanswered Questions
How does the apparatus handle unexpected delays in image processing?
The patent application does not address how the system adapts to unforeseen obstacles that may impact processing time.
What is the impact of distributing information to multiple processing units on overall system performance?
The potential effects of distributing information to multiple units simultaneously on system efficiency and processing speed are not discussed in the abstract.
Original Abstract Submitted
An information processing apparatus including: a first image processing unit that generates first information; a second image processing unit that generates second information; a first estimation unit that estimates whether or not the second image processing is able to be completed in a current processing period based on time needed for the first image processing and the first information; and a distribution unit that distributes, if it is estimated that the second image processing is not able to be completed in the current processing period, the first information to be used in remaining second image processing to the second image processing unit and a third image processing unit that is provided separately from the second image processing unit and executes the second image processing, in order to execute the remaining second image processing in a preset number of processing periods after the current processing period.
