MULTIBAND PATCH ANTENNA AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A MULTIBAND PATCH ANTENNA

Abstract: in one embodiment a multiband patch antenna comprises a first antenna (a) with a first through-hole-feed (f), a second antenna (a) with a second through-hole-feed (f), a first pin (p), an antenna printed circuit board, pcb, (pcb) comprising a first antenna feed point (afp), an interposer pcb (pcb), and a main pcb (pcb). the first antenna (a) and second antenna (a) are mounted on top of each other and on top of the antenna pcb (pcb), each of the first and the second antenna (a a) having an electrical connection with the antenna pcb (pcb). the first pin (p) is mechanically and electrically connected to at least one of the first and the second through-hole feeds (f f) and to the first antenna feed point (afp). the interposer pcb (pcb) is mounted between the antenna pcb (pcb) and the main pcb (pcb) and is mechanically and electrically connected to the antenna pcb (pcb) and to the main pcb (pcb).
