Some aspects described herein relate configuring resources in one or more slots for communicating a sidelink synchronization signal (SLSS) while maintaining a logical numbering of multiple consecutive slots including the one or more slots. Based on configuring the at least one slot a SLSS can be received from a node or transmitted to one or more nodes during at least one slot of the one or more slots.
