This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18741384 titled 'PHYSICAL UPLINK SHARED CHANNEL TO PHASE TRACKING REFERENCE SIGNAL POWER RATIO FOR A SPATIAL DIVISION MULTIPLEXING SCHEME

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a value for a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) power boost for a PTRS port, wherein the PTRS port is associated with a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource set, wherein the value for the PTRS power boost is relative to each layer of physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) per resource element (RE). The UE may transmit a PTRS associated with the PTRS port, and wherein a transmission power of the PTRS is based at least in part on the value for the PTRS power boost. Numerous other aspects are described.
